Types of GRE tests
There are 2 types of GRE tests:
- GRE General Test
- GRE Subject Test
GRE General Test: The GRE General Test is the most widely acknowledged test for students who wish to study abroad and evaluates analytical writing and verbal and quantitative reasoning. The GRE General Test is available in two formats - computer-based and paper-based.
GRE Subject Test: The GRE Subject Test evaluates a student's proficiency in a particular subject. It is available for three subjects (Mathematics, Physics, and Psychology) and can be taken three times a year.

GRE exam fees
The fee for the GRE General Test is $220, and for the GRE Subject Test, it is $150, inclusive of all taxes. In addition, there are some additional special handling request charges as well.

ETS has not set any age, qualification, or timing-related eligibility for taking the GRE. The only eligibility to take the GRE is a valid passport. The students should have a valid passport mentioning the student's full name, photograph, and signature.
