MA Arts Management

Lancaster University

Course Overview

This degree is designed to develop the core skills and knowledge often required by managers in the arts and cultural sector. We aim to enable you to develop an understanding of the environment within which cultural and creative organisations operate and identify the issues that influence them.

In the second term you will have the opportunity to undertake a placement with a cultural/creative organisation where you will work in a team with fellow students to complete a real world project. The department will organise these projects and it will provide you with the chance to gain a practical understanding of the ways in which these organisations conduct themselves.
