The New York Institute of Technology was founded in 1955 as a private not-for-profit university in the State of New York. There are numerous campuses: Arkansas, China, Manhattan, Long Island, Abu Dhabi, and Vancouver.
Students are allowed to move between campuses with complete internal transferability of credits because they are a global university. Students are therefore empowered to enjoy and graduate from the campus of their choice with the same New York Tech degree.

GEC is the biggest off-campus student residence in Vancouver.
