Highlights
Tai Poutini Polytechnic (TPP), is on New Zealand's West Coast and has campuses in Wanaka, Christchurch and Auckland. The provider specialises in providing training and education for the needs of the West Coast community and students. Today, the higher education facility has course options in around 20 different subject areas. These include Business, Cooking, Tourism and Hospitality, Carpentry, Automotive and Engineering.
Students will find all the necessary facilities and learning resources across the TPP campuses. However, there are also smaller collections at the Westport and Wanaka campuses. Printing services for business needs and CVs are accessible via the provider's library locations.
Tai Poutini Polytechnic students can live near the Greymouth campus at the Tai Poutini Village Here, there are 58 individual rooms and shared facilities for students. Some rooms are private, single spaces, while others are shared. In addition, each student has access to king-sized beds, laundry facilities, cooking equipment, wifi and a shared TV.
At other campuses, TPP does not have its own housing available. Instead, students can find rented apartments or houses, private board accommodation or a homestay family.
The Greymouth campus has a large library, which has specialist books to support courses and programs.
Students at the Greymouth campus can also use the Dash-in café. This is used as a place to socialise and affordable drinks and food are available each day.
