BA (Hons) Performing Arts with Professional Practice Year

This course will prepare you for a career in the professional performing arts industry by developing your skills in musical theatre, physical theatre and acting.You will train in a range of dance techniques including contemporary, commercial and body conditioning and perform and tour work made by professional directors and choreographers. You will also direct and choreograph your work to be shown in our professional ere is a focus on learning entrepreneurial skills to help you find, apply for, and create your own work in this competitive industry, as well as developing your teaching and leadership skills.You will also be encouraged to think, write and talk about how performance theory informs your work.

This course has the option to be taken over four years which includes a year placement in industry. Undertaking a year in industry has many benefits. You gain practical experience and build your CV, as well as being a great opportunity to sample a profession and network with potential future employers.
