The University of Cumbria is one of the youngest universities in the UK. It was established in 2007 by merging St Martin’s College, Cumbria Institute of the Arts, and University of Central Lancashire’s Cumbria campuses. The university has already earned a good reputation for the excellent quality of education it provides for its students. 

The subject areas of the offered courses are diverse including, healthcare, business, education, sports, humanities, performing arts, law, criminology, forestry, and science. 

The University of Cumbria’s acceptance rate is around 46% though this can vary slightly based on different courses and departments. The university now hosts and assists over 7500 students each year.
