Students can choose from a variety of different housing options at UNCW. The university also has specific halls of residence for first-year students, sophomores and upperclassmen. Currently, undergraduate first-years can select a housing option from 11 different halls. These vary from shared rooms and facilities to private rooms and en-suite housing. Also, each halls of residence has laundry and vending facilities, WIFI and basic furnishings, like beds, wardrobes and study areas.
The University of North Carolina Wilmington campus has seen a $450 million investment in recent years. As a result, a state of the art University Film Center recently opened to provide a 4,000-square-foot soundstage and 80-seat movie theatre.In addition, the campus has the Center for Marine Science and MARBIONC.
