Facilities

Overview
Campus Life
Accommodation

The facilities available to students empower their learning experience. The classrooms are fully equipped with state of the art technology and other learning tools, with several of the rooms easy to locate around each campus. The library houses millions of books, journals and online resources long with study spaces. The DePaul Student Center has a range of facilities to offer students as it acts as a focal point for activity: a game room, food court, movie theater, fitness center and both study/social spaces provide students with recreational facilities.

Those interested in the performing arts are empowered with facilities such as the historic Merle Reskin Theatre or the Holtschneider Performance Center. Sports facilities and technology resources are in abundance at the university too.

City Life

Chicago is colloquially referred to as the ‘Windy City’ due to its close proximity to Lake Michigan, one of the largest bodies of freshwater in the world. Chicago also has a rich cultural and literary heritage, with budding journalists moving there from around the world and deep-dish pizza deriving from this dot on the US map. As such, there is lots to see and do at a smaller cost-of-living than some of the other major cities in America. Winter can be chilly in the windy city so your sensitivity to cold should be considered, but there are an abundance of job opportunities and a diverse local community to factor into your decision. The food scene and chance to watch live sporting events also add to the fun a student can have in Chicago.

Employability

DePaul helps students to access the job market after graduation with a wealth of available tools. The Career Center is the standout service that empowers students with job search help, CV and cover letter writing aids, interview coaching and even internships. Networking events are held especially for students to meet key players in their chosen industry and students can also attend career fairs throughout the year for the same reason.
