The University of North Carolina Wilmington campus has seen a $450 million investment in recent years. As a result, a state of the art University Film Center recently opened to provide a 4,000-square-foot soundstage and 80-seat movie theatre.In addition, the campus has the Center for Marine Science and MARBIONC. Students can choose from a variety of different housing options at UNCW. The university also has specific halls of residence for first-year students, sophomores and upperclassmen. Currently, undergraduate first-years can select a housing option from 11 different halls. These vary from shared rooms and facilities to private rooms and en-suite housing. Also, each halls of residence has laundry and vending facilities, WIFI and basic furnishings, like beds, wardrobes and study areas.
