Baylor University is a private Christian University in Waco, Texas. It opened in 1845 and is the oldest university in operation in Texas. Currently, the provider has around 250 programs at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Also, over 20,000 students study at the university, with attendees from all 50 states and over 90 countries worldwide.
On campus, students will find a variety of academic and leisure resources.
Students can also head to one of the many dining and catering locations on the Waco campus. These include the Baylor Club, East Village Bakery and Moe's Southwest Grill.
Baylor offers a variety of on-campus accommodations. Roughly 39% of students live in the 12 residence halls. The university has a range of room types to suit all students. Single, double, triple and private rooms are available, while students can apply for private apartments. All accommodation comes with basic facilities like laundry, wifi and beds.

Baylor has many different sports and fitness resources that students can access. Some options include personal training and wellness classes run by the FitWell club. But students can also use tennis, gym, basketball and soccer facilities.
Baylor has a library with books, ebooks, learning resources, databases, digital guides and study areas. In addition, the university has a bookstore that provides discounted study materials.
The large student and faculty community means there is plenty of opportunity to explore beyond academic study at Baylor University. Currently, the university has around 330 clubs and organisations. These clubs cover various social, cultural, sporting and arts areas. In addition, the university has 40 national and local sororities and fraternities.
Baylor also encourages its students and staff to contribute to the Waco community and wider university life. As a result, students, faculty and staff give over 150,000 hours each year to volunteering opportunities that support the local community.
Campuses
Waco is a small, inclusive and diverse town that welcomes students from all backgrounds. It has a culturally varied makeup as half of the community comes from ethnically diverse backgrounds or heritage. As a result, the town celebrates different cultures through unique and interesting restaurants, museums, cultural institutions and events.
Also, students can get a Baylor ID card once enrolled at the university. Then students can receive local discounts in selected shops, restaurants, gyms, theatres, cinemas and museums.
