The main classroom building is spacious and well-equipped to house many of the university's lecture halls, classrooms and computer labs. A stand-out feature is the Washkewicz College of Engineering provides laboratories, classrooms, and other facilities for students and faculty in engineering-related fields. Access to books, journals and other research materials is easy with the Michael Schwartz Library on campus: the database is as impressive as the back catalog.

In terms of health and fitness, the recreation center is a first-rate fitness center with a swimming pool, basketball courts, and a rock-climbing wall. The Wolstein Center is a multipurpose arena used for concerts, sporting events and more, as it can hold up to 13,000 people.

Students are spoilt for choice regarding extracurricular activities, with over 200 student organizations and a range of club sports teams available to join. The university hosts various events throughout the year, including homecoming and the Cleveland international film festival, among others. Everyone should feel included at CSU as specific programs are designed to support underrepresented students, such as the Multicultural Student Center and LGBTQA+ Student Services Office.
