Ontario College Graduate Certificate Nursing Leadership and Healthcare Management (formerly Health Care Administration Management)
If you are interested in starting this program January 2024 or May 2024, please apply to Health Care Administration Management (Nursing Leadership Stream).
To successfully lead teams in health care, a solid understanding of techniques used to manage administrative and clinical operations and stakeholders is required. This one-year program is designed to meet the needs of people who have completed a nursing program and wish to pursue leadership, management, or administrative roles across healthcare sectors. Theoretical and practical courses will expose you to real-life situations that arise in the workplace, deepen your understanding of related practices and regulations, and allow you to build a strong set of tools and techniques that drive effectiveness, efficiency, and innovation. By developing your knowledge of health care management and enhancing your project management skills, communication strategies, and continuous improvement acumen, you can apply frameworks and models to practice and contribute to organizational success.
This program provides specialized training but does not qualify you to work as a nurse in the province. To acquire the essential nursing knowledge and skills required to practice within the Canadian healthcare system, please see Conestoga's Enhanced Practice for Internationally Educated Nurses program.
