Fisher College - Boston

The Department of Information Services provides the college with computer laboratories, technical training, network support, and more so students can make the most of technological innovation. Science laboratories are also located on campus for students to utilize. A media center and a writing center are two buildings of note, and the Fisher College library has a range of books, films and other resources within an aesthetic environment.

Fitness facilities are a big part of college life because individual and group sports help to improve our well-being. The intercollegiate sports played on campus include basketball, volleyball and soccer. The fitness center and gymnasium are two other fitness spaces where students can benefit from healthy exercise. The Fisher cafe is the main food outlet on campus, but there are other dietary preferences for students to choose from.

Campus life provides many opportunities for students to socialize together and lead a well-balanced life. From yoga club to becoming a part of the student center and beyond, students can pursue their interests and make friends alongside their studies. Volunteering opportunities around campus help all students to feel a part of the community as they lead the change in making a difference. Students often meet over breakfast or dinner in the Dining Hall, with a range of hot food, deli sandwiches and more treats on offer to students and staff.

Whether you want to catch a major league baseball game at Fenway Park stadium or follow along with the Freedom Trail that follows the footsteps of memorable moments in the mission for American independence, there is plenty to do in Boston. The city is known as a global center for higher education, so there are many fellow young people to get acquainted with and suitably youthful hotspots to provide a bustling nightlife. Students can sample some pizza in Boston’s restaurants or enjoy one of the thirty-one bars in the colloquially called ‘Beantown’ area.
