Gonzaga University is a private Jesuit university situated in Spokane, Washington. Founded in 1887, the University gets its name from the young Jesuit saint Aloysius Gonzaga.
A wide range of courses is available at all levels of study. Around 200 international students from over 40 countries enroll in courses each year, with the University representing various nationalities.
There are several specialist colleges: a school of education, a college of arts and sciences, a school of business administration, a school of law, a school of engineering & applied science, a school of nursing & human physiology, and the school of leadership studies.

The McCarthey Athletic Center is a 148,000 sq. ft. space, a 6,000-seat indoor arena where students can watch the University's basketball team play. The Patterson Baseball Complex and Washington Trust Field are home to the University's baseball team.
Numerous academic buildings also contain laboratories, offices, classrooms, and other modern amenities to empower students.
Gonzaga University contains two main libraries, the Law Library, and the Foley Center Library. Both libraries offer resources, books, journals, and study spaces to empower students with local knowledge and vital assets.
There are 152 areas for students to congregate and socialize or study together. As an environmentally-focused campus, no bottled water is sold to encourage students to ‘go green’. The campus is vibrant, and there are opportunities to volunteer from the Center for Community Engagement that vary from outreach programs to external volunteer projects. Numerous events occur on campus throughout the year in the many event spaces, plus 150 student clubs represent various interests and chances to meet like-minded students.

The university's surrounding area is known as Father's day's birthplace. Spokane is a city in eastern Washington state famed for its scenic outdoors and the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture, where students can learn more about the state's Native American heritage and overall impact on culture.
Various restaurants and bars line the city streets to keep students occupied in their search for exciting nightlife as many other students are nearby. The cost of living is lower than the state average, and it is often cited as one of America's most neighbor-friendly cities.

The Presidential Scholarship is given to first-year international students who can prove a record of academic achievement, leadership, and community service. The International Student Scholarship is awarded to international students on the basis of financial need and academic achievement, along with Gonzaga community contributions.
The Provost Scholarship is granted based on robust academic achievement and awarded to incoming first-year international students. The Trustee scholarship is awarded based on outstanding academic achievement and covers up to one-third of tuition costs for four years of study at Gonzaga University.
