Kwantlen Polytechnic University


Kwantlen Polytechnic University is located in British Columbia with campuses in Surrey, Richmond, Cloverdale, Whalley, and Langley. It was founded as Kwantien College in 1981 and became a university college in 1995 before becoming Canada’s only polytechnic university in 2008. It currently has more than 20,000 students with around 5,000 international students.

The Maclean’s National Survey of Student Engagement ranked it in the top Canadian institutions in terms of student participation, educational practices, and quality of education.
