Long Island University Brooklyn

The University has numerous academic buildings, including the Humanities Building, Health Sciences Building, and the Pratt Building, which contains the School of Arts and Communication. The LIU Brooklyn Library is an impressive six-story facility with over 800,000 books, journals, and other learning materials. Students have access to athletic facilities via outdoor soccer fields, basketball courts, and tennis courts. The Steinberg Wellness Center features a gymnasium, fitness center, swimming pool, and more. The Kumble Theater for the Performing Arts, the Arnold and Marie Schwartz Athletic Center, and the Salena Gallery are all performance venues with exciting facilities.

The campus experience fair enables students to peruse the variety of student clubs on campus and make connections. Students join together across around 200 student clubs that reflect various interests. Students can access multiple campus activities and events from Spring Book Club to Move It Monday. One of the fastest-growing Greek communities in the nation can be found at the Long Island University Brooklyn campus, and it is recognised as a top 100 National University for social mobility. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion councils create an inclusive student environment.

Brooklyn is a bustling area with many young professionals and opportunities to have fun in a well-known city. The area has around 700 arts and cultural institutions, so students will always find a chance to enjoy the culture. Brooklyn is where the famous American cake ‘Twinkie’ was invented, and there are 30 miles of coast to enjoy as beaches surprisingly surround the area. Coney Island is an amusement park in Brooklyn that attracts many visitors to its 90-year-old rollercoaster and famous amusement activities. Several student bars also offer a mix of themed and traditional drinking spots in the city.
