Suffolk University is a private university in Boston, Massachusetts and dates back to 1906 and the creation of Archer's Evening Law School. In 1937 it merged with the Suffolk College of Arts and Sciences and the Sawyer Business School to form Suffolk University. Its main campus is in downtown Boston on the edge of the historic Beacon Hill neighbourhood and it has another campus in Madrid, Spain.
Around 6,500 students attend Suffolk University each year including over 800 international students. In recent years it has been named one of the Best National Universities by US News & World Report's Best Colleges lists as well as one of the best law schools. The Wall Street Journal and The Princeton Review have both also recognised it as one of the top US colleges.
There's more than 80 student clubs and organisations at Suffolk University, from honor societies to Greek life to sports and theatrical groups. There's also a wide array of men's and women's sporting teams as part of the ‘Ram Nation’
