International students are recommended to find the best solution to facilitate their learning, including living in homestay accommodation. A homestay is where you stay with a New Zealand family so you can immerse yourself in Kiwi culture and enhance your understanding of their language and vernacular.

Flatting is the colloquial term given for staying in shared accommodation with friends. There is a Housing Advice Centre offering a free 24 hour accommodation listing service to help students find housing in Palmerston North.

Employability

A friendly service has been put in place to offer career support, advice, and guidance on how to seek part-time work while you study and employment after you graduate. Some of the services on offer to students include creating a CV and cover letter, learning interview skills, and overall guidance towards pursuing a fruitful career.
