Bachelors Nutrition Sciences

Nutrition Sciences is the study of food its components, and how the body handles food substances. In the Nutrition Sciences major, you will explore how nutrients, and the foods from which they are derived, aid the body in growth and development and maintain health and wellness. The program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics, allowing graduates to be well-equipped to complete training and become a Registered Dietitian by taking the Registration Examination for Dietitians.

Graduates can expect to find job opportunities in many fields including Sports Nutrition, Health Care, Community Nutrition Services, Eating Disorder Counseling and Weight Management. Other fields include Pharmaceutical Sales, Food Systems Management and Culinary Arts.

Baylor offers several Living-Learning Centers, which are housing opportunities designed to place students of common interests together. The Science & Health Living-Learning Center is a residential option available for pre-health students. Students are able to collaborate with each other, science faculty and medical researchers.
