American political issues, the Holocaust, democracy, globalisation, Parties and Voters in the UK – these are only some of the political aspects and key events you will be able to explore in detail as part of the course.As well as providing a foundation in the approaches to, and theories of, politics and international relations, the programme will develop your understanding of the importance of politics in a globalising and integrating world.This degree is designed to enable you to study international affairs in their political and historical contexts.You will address critical political questions, such as:Who has political power?Why do they have it?To whom are they accountable?In whose interest do they exercise it?What is globalisation?Is violent protest ever justified?
