Library
The Avril Robarts Library serves as the primary library. It offers you a wide range of books, journals, and digital resources. The library also has quiet study areas, group workspaces, and individual study pods. What’s more is that you can grab a coffee or snack from the library’s cafe.
Sports
You’ll find that LJMU has state-of-the-art sports facilities managed by the Sport and Physical Activity Department. These include an eight-court sports hall, two multifunctional studio rooms, a two-floor gym, and many more facilities.
Laboratory
As a student at LMJU, you’ll have access to several specialised laboratories across various disciplines. Some of these include the School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences, and the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Research Centre.
Cafeteria
Besides great classrooms, you’ll also see that LJMU's campuses have a variety of cafes and eateries. The Pavilion Cafe at the Aldham Robarts Library is a convenient spot for you to relax or study. You can also explore the Student Life Building Cafe or the Green Room.
Campuses
Liverpool John Moores University is separated into two campuses in Liverpool, England: the City campus and the Mount Pleasant campus.
At the City Campus, you’ll be in the heart of Liverpool. The Great Crosshall Street and the Liverpool Exchange railway station are near the campus. Some of Liverpool’s most impressive attractions are only a short walk from the campus. You can visit the Central Library, the Walker Art Gallery, the World Museum and St George’s Hall. The Mount Pleasant campus is next to the Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral and the Anglican Cathedral.
You’ll surely know Liverpool as the birthplace of The Beatles. Not just that, the city offers you several music venues, museums, and galleries. Liverpool also has a rich maritime history. The Merseyside Maritime Museum and the Albert Dock stand as examples. If you’re a football fan, you’ll be thrilled that the city also has two famous Premier League football clubs, Liverpool FC and Everton FC.
Liverpool is well-connected by public transport, including buses and Merseyrail trains. The Islington bus stop is just a minute's walk from the campus. The nearest train station is Liverpool James Street.
