BS Communications - Journalism - Broadcast Concentration
In a diverse, increasingly interconnected world, the Communication, Journalism and Media Department educates students to be effective and ethical communicators to multiple audiences. Students develop transferable analytical, creative and practical skills in communication, journalism, and video production that enable them to advance democratic ideals and work toward social justice in governmental, non-profit, and corporate sectors.
You'll learn in our smart classrooms, state-of-the-art computer labs, specialized video production classroom, editing lab, and television studio. You'll get comfortable using industry-standard video production equipment and editing software. You can gain even more experience by writing for our award-winning student newspaper/online publications, The Suffolk Journal or The Suffolk Voice; joining the student video club, RamCam Productions; or getting in front of the camera reporting on Suffolk in the City for New England Cable News.
