Ulster University is the largest university in Northern Ireland. It opened in 1968 and merged with Ulster Polytechnic in 1984 and has four campuses - in Belfast, Derry, Coleraine and Jordanstown. There are also campuses in London and Birmingham on the UK mainland. More than 27,000 students choose Ulster every year with international students from more than 100 countries.
