The University of Central Lancashire, also known as UCLan, is one of the 20 biggest universities in the UK. Today, nearly 25,000 students choose to study at UCLan every year. Over 300 undergraduate degrees and approximately 200 postgraduate courses are available for at the university.

Library
The Library is open 24/7, where you can find study rooms, e-books and journals, access to PCs and laptops, plus volumes of books on different subject matters.
Sports
The sports facilities are comprehensive, with cardio training machines, rowing apparatus, indoor tennis courts, dance and fitness studios, spin bikes, squash courts and more. There is also an outdoor athletics track, football and rugby pitches, tennis courts and more.
Laboratory
At UCLan, you’ll find cutting-edge lab facilities including the GBP 35M Engineering Innovation Centre (EIC) with 3D printing, robotics, flight simulators, and advanced manufacturing spaces. Plus, the JB Firth Building has forensic and chemistry sciences with six specialised labs.
Cafeteria
You can access a range of food outlets at the campus, including Café 1828 in the Student Centre, Union Cafe, and the Foster Building Cafe, with various food options.
Campuses
The main campus of UCLan is based in Preston, with additional campuses in Burnley and Westlakes. You'll find Preston just an hour from Manchester, located in the county of Lancashire. Nearby, you can explore St George’s Shopping Centre, which offers a variety of food options perfect for dining out. There's also an outdoor market with everything from fresh food to unique items, plus cultural spots like the Harris Museum.
