Student Life

Whitireia and WelTec joined forces in 2012 to provide the highest quality of education to students in Wellington. WelTec has a rich history as one of New Zealand's oldest tertiary education institutions and the second-oldest in the capital city. Famed for their high student success rates and culturally diverse student body, a range of industry-led qualifications are available to help you succeed in your chosen career. Their mission is to put students first by providing them with the practical skills they need to thrive in the working world.

Students have the opportunity to make their voice heard by becoming a student representative as part of the 'Student Connection' body, becoming a student advocate or by participating in student surveys.

The inclusion of LGBTQIA+ students is prioritised by Rainbow: a multi-campus student group and there are a range of groups and events students can take part in to enrich their university experience.
