You will gain a critical understanding of contemporary issues in international business law.

The course will enable you to acquire and develop enhanced analytical, critical, communication and presentational skills appropriate to postgraduate level study in the context of their mandatory and optional modules, and to become familiar with the central problems of research in these areas; You will appreciate the roles of both national and international law in the development and application of International Business Law.

What skills will you gain?

1. Demonstrate a systematic understanding of knowledge, and a critical awareness of current problems in the area of International Business Law as well as a conceptual understanding that enables the student;

to evaluate critically current research and advanced scholarship in global business and law; and,
to evaluate methodologies and develop critiques of them and, where appropriate, to propose new hypotheses.

2. Demonstrate a critical understanding of contemporary legal issues in international business.

3. Critically evaluate the impact of the law and principles both at the domestic and international level.

4. Exercise advanced analytical, critical and communication skills.

5. Demonstrate an enhanced ability to research and present legal assessments and to present an advanced research dissertation.

6. Demonstrate originality in the application of knowledge, together with a practical understanding of how established techniques of research and enquiry are used to create and interpret knowledge in the discipline.
