To achieve this, we spent the year building and releasing exciting new features to support students throughout their educational journey.

Launch of Edvoy Genie
When we started Edvoy, we wanted to democratise global education by making it accessible to everyone and keeping students at the nucleus.
While it won the hearts of many and facilitated thousands of university applications, we recognised that this was only the beginning. There were several critical areas we needed to address:
- Improving the quality of applications we sent and reducing rejections from universities
- Lack of a centralized tool to gather all the entry requirements for each course (and we host 65000+ courses!)
- Reducing training efforts and cognitive load for counsellors
Enter Edvoy Genie!
A revolutionary AI-powered search system that matches a student’s unique profile with thousands of courses around the world.
Edvoy Genie matches student academic histories and 200+ data points to 1000s of courses worldwide, and gives a predictive score on the likelihood of admission success.
Edvoy Genie differentiates itself from other AI-search tools in the market by its depth of analysis.
It takes into account academic qualifications, English language test scores, study gaps, and regional visa rules to check eligibility for different courses, and then categorises the results into 3 groups for easy decision-making.
It even shows courses that accept ‘language waivers’ if the student is eligible.
Syed Shabir, Edvoy co-founder and CTO, shares, “We are not just building a product, we're building a relationship with the user. We have created Genie, an AI prodigy, to transform the study-abroad experience. It doesn't give just information, it gives insights.”
Upon launching Edvoy Genie, its impact was immediate:
- Our Application to Offer conversion improved by 50%
- University rejections were reduced significantly
- Our agents reported a significant improvement in their ability to counsel students effectively; they called it a user-friendly tool that simplifies the complex process of finding the right university or course
While we improved the product based on the feedback we received, we also learned how invaluable this creation is for students. In fact, PIE News, a leading online publication for the international education sector, recognised Genie as a new-age tool, ideal for course selection.
Enhancing student support services with Edvoy Extra
In addition to Genie, we released Funds and Stays. These support services help students secure swift turnaround accommodation, loan agreements and more.
Stays is a premium experience in searching and shortlisting accommodation. The database includes 1 million+ beds, including budget-friendly options in over 700 cities, globally.
From private to shared rooms, students can completely book their new home via our app. Students will also be assigned a dedicated advisor to help out at no extra cost.
Funds (currently in India and Bangladesh; releasing soon globally) helps with speedy online loan applications, funding up to 100,000 GBP. Our system is integrated directly with banking systems to provide a more secure and faster process for educational loans.
With an advanced algorithm, students can find suitable financial products based on their needs, academic scores and financial eligibility. This is a hassle-free and 100% digital application process, with a dedicated advisor for expert guidance. Students will also get real-time updates from all bank applications on our app. So far, we’ve sanctioned £1.7M from its launch.
With all these in place, we’re very excited to see how the upgrade impacts and empowers students to take the leap and chase their academic dreams!
We’re also thrilled about the prospects the new year holds. We already have a stellar line-up of features released in the first half including end-to-end IELTS support, fee payment solutions (Pay) and visa application assistance.
