BA Politics - Political Theory
Do you want to understand power, culture, law, policy, and government in Canada and around the world? Acadia’s Department of Politics offers courses that develop the analytical skills, theories, and knowledge you will need. Our courses engage with contemporary issues such as Indigenous politics, environment, development, and media. We offer courses in five subfields: You can connect what you learn in class with the politics outside the classroom by attending events throughout the year. Every event is documented in your “Politics Passport.” Awards are given to students who attend the most events. A politics degree will equip you with the skills to participate actively in shaping our complex and changing world. Studying politics will prepare you for a broad range of careers in Canada and abroad. You will gain skills you can put into action. You will learn how to turn your knowledge about the contemporary world into political projects. You will see ways to change the world for the better.
