MSc Supply Chain Management
Course outline and modules
The words ‘supply chain’ have never been more in the news than in 2020. The world-wide Covid-19 pandemic had presidents and prime ministers across the world talking about the importance of effective supply chains, to ensure essential equipment was available to key workers everywhere.
This crisis demonstrated how important the different aspects of the supply chain are, from procurement, through manufacturing and transportation, to storage and delivery to the front line.
Our Supply Chain Management masters course is delivered in partnership by the triple-accredited Aston Business School and the School of Engineering and Applied Science, combining the knowledge and expertise of both schools.
We have very close links with business, with many of the team coming to the university from industry themselves, combining practical knowledge and experience with academic rigour.
What you’ll learn
You’ll gain in-depth knowledge and understanding of the theoretical and applied perspectives of supply chain management and logistics. The programme has a particular focus on the effective deployment of advanced technology in environmentally sustainable and globally connected supply chains. You'll also have the opportunity to develop your areas of interest through a range of specialist modules and completion of a major project.
