A law conversion course, also known as a PGDL, enables a smooth transition into studying law whilst developing the skills you need to secure pupillage or qualifying work experience.

You will learn like a lawyer from the outset, with teaching delivered by experienced solicitors and barristers. Through highly interactive small group teaching sessions, we provide opportunities to apply your growing legal knowledge and develop the core skills you need for practice.

The Master’s element of this programme is a professional project, which you do by way of independent research. You can choose the subject matter for the project to reflect your own interests, building on your previous studies, which may relate to a specific area of law or practice. It is an extremely useful asset to have in the recruitment process, especially if the subject matter is aligned to a major practice area of a prospective employer.

Alongside the creation of this professional asset, you’ll also need to submit reflective statement, evidencing your ability to act autonomously, reflecting on your learning and personal development throughout the project. You will receive guidance and support throughout the project through structured meetings with a tutor supervisor and additional online resources.
