BA (Hons) Journalism and Politics
Taught by award-winning professionals from within the industry, Journalism BA (Hons) at De Montfort University will support you to learn about how to become a successful journalist within a specialised area. The Joint Honours course in Journalism allows you to combine two subject areas, allowing you to expand your knowledge of another specialist subject alongside Journalism. The course will develop your understanding of the industry as well as developing your writing skills and techniques in order to become a successful Journalist within a specific field. As part of this course you will also have the opportunity to contribute work to our student-led award-winning Demon Media, giving you the a platform to develop your work experience through The Demon newspaper, Demon FM community radio station, Demon TV and the Demon website. 88.9% of our Journalism (Joint Honours) graduates from summer 2017 are in work or further study after graduating according to the Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) 2016-17 report.
