The dynamic, multidisciplinary research institute focused on promoting excellence across our four research themes: Biomedical Engineering, Computational and Digital Engineering, Energy Harvesting and Conversion and Multiphase Flow. Much of our work involves strong industrial links across a range of sectors and through our expertise, skills and experience we work together with industry to identify new areas of interest. Our PhD research is supported by a mixture of UK, regional, national and international research council funding and industrial funding comes from companies with research centres spread across the world. Our projects address global challenges in several areas, including energy, manufacturing and health that are underpinned by multidisciplinary advances in science and engineering.
