Course Overview
The MA English Literary Studies with Creative Writing provides a rare opportunity to combine creative and critical writing at Masters level. During your studies you will critically engage with complex written materials and with the ideas of others. You will learn to place your own creative and critical work in a literary and professional context, and to express your powers of analysis across a variety of literary forms. The elements of self-directed study and independent thinking will help you to develop your skills in project management, working to deadline, working to a brief, creative collaboration, and problem solving.
Your postgraduate degree prepares you for careers in journalism, publishing, literature and reading development, community arts and public relations, as well as PhD research. The critical and creative skills developed through your studies will also enhance your employability.
