MSc in Nursing (International)

Overview

This newly developed one-year full time Masters in Nursing (International) course is specifically designed for nurses from overseas looking to develop personally and in their professional nursing careers. Access and integration of technology and innovations are changing nursing practice globally. Nurses need to embrace change and innovation to become more adaptive and resilient to the challenges facing healthcare.

The course reflects contemporary practice in the UK. It focuses on integrated approaches to care with an emphasis on health promotion, improving patient outcomes and promoting wellbeing in patients with long-term conditions within an ageing society with transferability to other international healthcare settings.

Studying at London South Bank University offers students from other countries opportunities to access UK professional, educational and values-based expertise delivered by experienced nurse educators.

The course will further develop and enhance the practitioner’s clinical assessment and decision-making skills and provide them with the leadership and research skills to lead and promote evidence based practice in their own countries.

Employability

It is anticipated that students will return to their own countries and this

Award will enable staff to make a positive impact on patient care and service innovation in their own areas of practice.

Transferable knowledge gained from an understanding of the initiatives used in the UK to improve on areas of care including health promotion, aging and complex care will provide students with the knowledge and skills to advance and contribute to evidence care in these areas.
