Student life is, therefore, vibrant and varied, with various arts, cultural and campus events for students to enjoy new experiences, meet like-minded people and have fun. Over 50 sororities and fraternities are creating a robust Greek community on campus.

Athletic students have football, basketball and baseball programs to enjoy and can also obtain discounts on student discounts on sporting events. Leisurely recreational activities are easily accessible thanks to the LSU Student Recreation Center and its fitness and sports facilities. A sense of community is fostered on campus, with volunteering opportunities and a strong student union highlighting the voice of young people.
