Course overview

This electrical engineering degree has applications in industry, transport, defence and other technologies, leading to demand for graduates in this area.

In Stages 1 and 2 you study a common syllabus to our other electrical engineering degrees, developing your expertise in electrical machines and electronic communications systems.

In Stage 3 you take specialist topics, such as:

  • electromagnetism
  • robotics
  • linear control theory

Working with state-of-the-art equipment in our well-equipped labs, you'll put your knowledge into practice through hands-on learning and practical, real-world application.
You complement this with a large individual design project - for example, developing a photovoltaic solar power for homes in rural areas - to showcase your skills to future employers.
