This five-year MEarthSci degree explores subjects like geology, chemistry and microbiology and includes a year in industry to advance your academic knowledge with practical work experience in the Earth Science field.

Course overview

Earth science at Newcastle considers novel innovations in the biological, chemical and physical sciences, and supporting technologies such as GIS, remote sensing and environmental informatics.

This five-year degree is similar to our Earth Science MEarthSci Honours but between Stages 2 and 3 you will take a year out in industry. This is a great opportunity to advance your academic knowledge with practical work experience in the Earth science field.
