MSc Aquatic Ecology by Research
Aquatic ecosystems are under continued and growing threats such as habitat loss, invasive species and pollution. Be part of creating solutions to the threats these ecosystems face. This course will give you a fundamental understanding of different ecosystems and the hands-on experience you need, for conservation and research.

- At Queen Mary you will have access to a number of advanced facilities, some of which are designated exclusively to postgraduate students.
- Specialist analytical research facilities within our Centre for the Aquatic and Terrestrial Environment, developed from an investment of £1.8 million
- The Freshwater Biological Association’s River Laboratory on the River Frome in Dorset, via our River Communities Group
- Mesocosm and temperature controlled facilities at Queen Mary
- We will use our network of partner NGOs, research labs and industries to create further opportunities
