MSc Public Policy
Recent developments in the UK, including Big Society, plan to deliver public services through the Third Sector, have had a major impact on how people view public policy. This course is tailored to reflect the current political landscape, both domestic and international, meaning you get to delve into a wide gamut of topics, from european politics to political theory, to global security and development.
At base level, you will study how problems are addressed within political institutions. You will gain theoretical and practical insights into policy formation and implementation and most importantly, explore the development, implementation and evaluation of a wide range of policies.
You will be taught by a diverse set of academics at the cutting-edge of their fields. Our faculty members have internationally-recognised research strengths in the politics of the developing world and critical theory, as well as regional expertise in South America, South East Asia and the Middle East.
The academics who are involved in the Mile End Institute and the Centre for European Research continue to conduct research on constantly changing policy issues and organise free events throughout the year - giving you front-row access to groundbreaking research in action.
