BA Accounting
Accounting is essential to our wired, global economy, and Queens College’s BA prepares students for today’s fast-paced, often complex transactions. It includes theory and methodology in accounting, business law, economics, and taxation as well as courses emphasizing information technology for accounting, transaction processing, data analysis, auditing, and communications.
Accounting majors may go on to careers in corporate, government, or nonprofit accounting, or in the teaching of accountancy in secondary schools, colleges, and universities. Some graduates pursue the MS in accounting (preparatory to becoming a Certified Public Accountant).
