Intiman Theatre and Seattle Central College have partnered to offer an Associate Arts degree program, emphasis in Technical Theatre for Social Justice (TTSJ). As an associate degree direct transfer agreement (AA-DTA), you will be eligible to transfer to a four-year college or university if you so choose.
The emphasis is noted on your transcript and for students interested in careers behind the scenes in the entertainment industry. Coursework and hands-on training in technical theatre and film elements includes costume fabrication, stage lighting, projections, audio engineering, carpentry, and scenic painting, while studying topics such as contemporary moral problems, principles of environmental sustainability and applied social and cultural change. The AA-TTSJ emphasis follows a two-year pathway. Students are encouraged to apply directly with Intiman Theatre <www.intiman.org/aa/> and begin the emphasis coursework in fall quarter.
