This two-year pathway is designed for students who wish to complete an Associate of Science - Track 1 degree with a concentration on Earth Sciences. This two-year pathway is designed for students who wish to complete an Associate of Science - Track 1 degree with a concentration on Earth Sciences. Earth sciences is the study of the solid Earth, its waters, and the air that envelops it. Included are the geologic, hydrologic, and atmospheric sciences. The Associate of Science with a concentration in Earth Sciences enables students to obtain a broad understanding of earth sciences as a background for interests such as science journalism, environmental law, science education, and environmental policy.
Completion of this program prepares students to transfer at the junior level to an Earth Sciences or related field of study at a four-year college or university, as well as opening doors to a wide variety of related careers.
