A school of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, Simpson University offers faith-infused education in liberal arts and professional studies. The University maintains a safe, comfortable environment for everyone.
Simpson University provides bachelor’s degrees in various subjects, such as biology, kinesiology, nursing, political science, psychology, social science, and outdoor adventure recreation. It also offers undergraduate programs in business administration with management, sports marketing, computer information systems and marketing as areas of specialisation.
You can also pursue an associate’s degree in general studies or Bible and theology at the University. Besides, Simpson University can also help you pursue pre-career programs like Dental School Path, Medical School Path, Occupational Therapy Path, Pharmacy Path, Optometry Path and Physical Therapy Path.
Moreover, the University offers online master’s degree programs in business administration and education. Single- and multi-subject teaching credential programs are offered by the University as well.
With the main campus in Redding, California, the University maintains A.W. Tozer Theological Seminary which has learning centres in Woodland as well. The seminary, established in 2007, offers programs like Master of Divinity, M.A. in Ministry Leadership, and M.A. in Community Counselling. In addition, it provides certificate programs in Biblical studies and Biblical languages.
For undergraduates, Simpson University has six residence halls, namely Thompson Mangham Hall (first-year males) and Irwin-Shellrude Hall (first-year females). Transfer students and upperclassmen stay together in Morgan-Sharpe, Cooper-Heath, Currie-Ediger, and Measell-Taylor. Secured with ID card access, these halls have communal kitchens and lounges.
Further, individual rooms are available that feature either suite-style or private bathrooms. With high-speed internet access, they also have individual thermostat control (AC and heating).
Around 80% of the student population of Simpson University is associated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
The University allows you to pursue your education along with sports. You can participate in basketball, cross country, wrestling, soccer, golf, track and field, swimming, softball, baseball and football.
Located in the Emeriti Dining Center, Sage Dining is known for its continental breakfast, soup-salad-deli bars, classic buffet and interactive exhibition stations. It is open 7 days a week throughout the Spring and Fall semesters.
Operational daily during Fall and Spring semesters, The Bean Scene serves a range of drink options and food items. With free Wi-Fi access, this place makes for a great place to study.
Throughout an academic year, Simpson University hosts 16 signature events, including Skate Night, 80’s Bingo, Polar Plunge, Silent Dance, Puppy Day, Color Run, Spring Fest and Night Life.
You will get to explore all the different places nearby like Shasta Lake, Mt. Lassen, and Burney Falls. In addition, you can go fishing in Whiskeytown.
Further, you can get employment opportunities with the facilities department, which is responsible for the maintenance of the University fleet, buildings, grounds, environmental health and safety, and the Emeriti Dining Center.
Campuses
The city maintains the main campus of Simpson University. It has a bookstore that will let you not just order textbooks, but also sell them. Also, there is a library that is operational from 7:45 AM to 9 PM from Monday to Friday.
