MS Finance
The program teaches advanced financial techniques; students have the opportunity to gain training and exposure in the areas of Fintech, Data science in finance, Risk management, and Quantitative analysis. Students must complete a minimum of 10 courses, including 5 required finance courses, 4 finance electives, and the required MSF capstone. Additionally, based on a review of transcripts, 4 prerequisite courses must be satisfied or waived through prior relevant coursework.*
The MSF program participates in the CFA® Institute University Affiliation Program. This participation signals that our curriculum is closely tied to the practice of investment management and is helpful to students preparing for the CFA exams. On an annual basis our program awards as many as 10 CFA student scholarships.
The program emphasizes education on quantitative techniques in finance to meet the increasing demand for such skills in the finance job market. The MSF program is STEM-designated, allowing international students to apply for up to three years of Optional Practical Training (OPT) in the United States upon graduation.
