MLitt Crime Writing and Forensic Investigation
During this course you will have access to authoritative information about forensic science, the police and the law, and will also learn about forensic experts and the role they play in legal investigations. You will also learn the skills needed to create an imaginative piece of writing, which makes use of forensic cultures, histories, investigation and evidence.
You will be taught by staff in literature and forensic science and you will also have the opportunity to watch forensic experts being trained to give evidence as they participate in mock trials assisted by our colleagues in the University's Law School. Scotland is fast establishing itself as a major destination for crime writing, with authors, festivals and publishers all contributing to the 'Tartan Noir' phenomenon. During your time with us, you will be part of an inspiring, imaginative community, where forensic science and creativity successfully work together.
