MSc International Banking and Finance

This course explores the role of banks and finance in the modern global economy. Using information from a number of sources, you will study the theory and practice of international banking and financial markets, and their behaviour. You'll apply theory to real-world problems. You will learn about the theoretical concepts and basic skills required to estimate and interpret economic models You will be able to understand and analyse activity, and anticipate future developments. You will study the diverse international banking systems, money, investments, and regulations which have become increasingly important in recent years. You will also have the opportunity to undertake a global internship or undertake a project with an organisation.

Careers:

This course is designed for students who want to work in the financial industry. Some of our graduates have previous experience and are looking to develop their career further, while others are looking to move into the sector for the first time. Many of our graduates work with large international banking and investment institutions, or with smaller firms in the UK and overseas. Many work for other commercial organisations, including accountancy firms, management consultancy firms, manufacturing companies, and in the public sector.
