Why MEng Electrical and Electronics Systems Engineering?
Our MEng Electrical and Electronics Systems Engineering course equips you to design embedded systems for various applications of control, diagnostics, monitoring and communication. It is an integrated course that includes Level 4-6 content found on our BEng degree and Level 7 content found on our MSc programme, which allows you to gain chartered status on graduation. You’ll gain advanced knowledge in subjects from power electronics and drivers to electronic systems design, learning from experienced academics and industry-insiders. You’ll have the chance to deliver a project with students from across our engineering programmes, replicating how you’ll work in the real-world as a multi-disciplinary engineer. In this way you’ll develop the skills to collaborate with others in a range of industries, from the automotive industry to sustainable manufacturing. You’ll also be able to build practical experience by undertaking experiments in our state-of-the-art labs and through placement options with relevant companies. For example, we have strong industry links with local firms including ABB, MOOG, SC Group, Spirax Sarco, Dowty Propellers, Kohler Mira and Total Metal Products Ltd.
