MA Social Work
The master's in Social Work will help you to develop the skills and resilience to meet challenging roles. You will learn how to advise and support people at times of difficulty and deal with a wide range of problems. We offer a variety of inspiring and motivating learning activities led by academics, expert practitioners and service users. This involves the opportunity to learn with students from other health and social care disciplines. By the end of the course, you will have developed your skills in line with Knowledge and Skills Statements for either adults or children and families social work. You will also have a vision towards the Assessed and Supported Year in Practice. You will attend two work placements: 70 days in your first year and 100 days in your second year. These will be in contrasting settings and with groups of people with differing needs.
