BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise for Health with Sport Management with a Year in Industry
Our expert lecturers are active researchers and have practical experience of working in areas such as sports management and policy, sport marketing and leadership, nutrition, sport psychology and sport science, and their research underpins our teaching, ensuring you learn about the latest thinking in the field.
You’ll study key areas including sport industries, sports marketing, sports leadership, sport and exercise promotion, exercise physiology, psychology, nutrition, biomechanics, as well as exercise for special and clinical populations. You will also develop your research skills in advance of undertaking your final year research project, which gives you the opportunity to use our excellent lab-based facilities and equipment ensuring you develop practical skills.
In your second and final years you can select optional modules to tailor your studies more specifically towards your career aspirations, for example by completing a work placement module.

Tailor your degree to suit you by spending a year working in industry in the UK or abroad. Taken between your second and final years, the Year in Industry gives you the chance to put into practice the skills you’ve learnt and gain further valuable experience of real-world applications of sport and exercise science. Many placements pay a salary and you will gain relevant experience, skills and confidence, which will benefit you in your final-year studies and when applying for jobs after graduation.
