International Year One Business and Management
The International Year One Business and Management provides a pathway for you if you do not meet the standard entry criteria for our Business and Management BA.
Throughout your first year, you will benefit from enhanced support. This starts with one week of intensive English language and academic skills development in September, before you begin your academic modules. The International Year One places a strong emphasis on equipping with you with the skills you need to succeed in your studies. From day one, you’ll be part of a vibrant and diverse student and academic community.
All of our Business and Management degrees share the same first year, which means that at the end of your International Year One, you can switch to either of the following degrees and tailor your studies to your interests and strengths:
Human Resource Management BA
Marketing BA
Our courses give you a comprehensive insight into a broad range of subjects and provide you with an in-depth understanding of contemporary business and management techniques. By studying topics such as operations management, strategy, business in digital economies and international business, the course will open up a wide range of opportunities for professional development, equipping you with the skills you need to become an effective and socially responsible manager in both local and global environments.
You will also be supported by the School of Business Careers and Employability Team who offer a dedicated programme of support, opportunities and events, and will help you take your first steps towards a successful graduate career.
On successful completion of your International Year One, you are guaranteed progression to the second year of your degree.
